What is East Sussex Better Together?

East Sussex Better Together (ESBT) started in August 2014 and is led by two local NHS clinical commissioning groups and East Sussex County Council.

It is the 150-week programme to transform health and social care services. It’s about making sure they use their combined £750 million annual budget to achieve the best possible services for local people.

You can find out more about the programme, and how to get involved at: http://news.eastsussex.gov.uk/east-sussex-better-together/

Public Reference Forum

In June 2015, an East Sussex Better Together Public Reference Forum was launched to increase ways for local people to have a say and inform the development of local services. This arrangement builds on work already underway to increase understanding about East Sussex Better Together. Its focus has been to increase the number of local people interested in joining clinicians and professionals to co-design health and social care services.

The forum was managed by East Sussex Community Voice (ESCV), which is also the provider of Healthwatch East Sussex.

The project came to an end on the 30th March 2018
