Why volunteer with us?

Everyone at some point in their lives uses health and social care services and for lots of different reasons, local people look to their Healthwatch to become involved:

  • Some like to get involved in activities to help improve services,
  • Others have a specific interest e.g. in the well-being of older people in their community (or any interest group)
  • Some have skills and expertise in health and care gained in their working life
  • Others may be looking to gain experience to assist them in looking for work opportunities
  • It is ok to have no health or social care background
