Our host organisation are seeking to appoint board members

Our host organisation, East Sussex Community Voice (ESCV), are seeking committed and forward-thinking individuals to help enable more people in East Sussex to have their say on the design and delivery of local services.
ESCV hold a range of contracts, including Healthwatch East Sussex, and have ambitious plans to grow.
ESCV welcome applicants with a diverse range of perspectives and experience, including people seeking their first Non-Executive Director role. They actively encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds and those with lived experience of social or health inequalities. If you are passionate about our mission but unsure whether this role is for you, they would love to hear from you.
What’s involved
A willingness to learn about the organisation, the responsibilities of our Non-Executive Directors, and an ability to commit to the time involved, are essential.
They anticipate a typical ‘ask’ of approximately one day per month on Board matters which may include:
- Representing ESCV and forging relationships with local partners and services
- Overseeing ESCV strategies, policies, and procedures
- Supporting the evolution of business and its funding streams
- Contributing pro-actively to quarterly Board meetings
- Engaging with staff and volunteers on projects
Board Members receive an allowance of £1,200 per annum and reasonable out of pocket expenses. Terms of office for Non-Executive Directors are three years.
