Healthwatch East Sussex Quarter 1 Report – April to June 2025

This quarterly report highlights how we have listened to the voices of the public, patients and partners and used people’s feedback, experiences and preferences to help shape health and social care in East Sussex from April – June 2025.

This report summarises the activity, publications and impact delivered by Healthwatch East Sussex last quarter.

Highlights from this quarter

During quarter 1 we:

  • launched our new Healthwatch East Sussex website, offering improved navigation and a fresh, user-friendly design.
  • engaged with the commercial fishing community, providing an Information and Signposting drop-in session and gathering feedback about the fishing community’s experience of health and care services.
  • worked in partnership with Care for the Carers, to listen to carers’ experiences of health and care services, including hospital discharge.
  • presented our findings from our HMP Lewes report highlighting what was working well, as well as areas for improvement, based on what we heard from residents during our work.
  • were delighted to share ‘Unlocking the power of people-driven care’, our Annual Report for 2024-25.
