East Sussex Full of Life festival
Older People’s Day is on 1 October, but in East Sussex a two-month long programme of activities takes place throughout September and October.
Every year, East Sussex County Council work with East Sussex Seniors’ Association (ESSA) to organise a festival of events across the county, celebrating Older People’s Day.
More than 80 free and paid-for activities for the 50-plus age group will be taking place over the next two months to mark International Older People’s Day on October 1 – the largest programme of events since the initiative was established 18 years ago.
These activities and events are listed in the free ‘Full of Life’ brochure. This is now available from libraries, council offices, and leisure centres.
