New short films to help young people know where to turn for health and wellbeing support

NHS Sussex have recently launched a new series of short films featuring local healthcare professionals, created to help young people understand where to go for trusted health and wellbeing support.

The series is led by one of NHS Sussex’s Youth Consultants, who interviews different healthcare professionals about how their services can support young people, reflecting the particular questions, concerns and language that matter most to younger audiences.

Common concerns are addressed in the films, including costs, privacy and confidentiality, and whether young people can access healthcare services without a parent or carer.

The professionals featured include a pharmacist, NHS 111 call handler and school nurse, among others. They share simple, practical advice on where to go for help with physical, mental or emotional health concerns.
