Listening Tour
Our Listening Tour helps us maximise what we hear about people’s health, care and wellbeing across East Sussex.

We use our dedicated survey and stakeholder events to listen to the experiences and views of residents, communities and professionals. The insight we develop is used to:
- Identify where services are working well or where change may be needed, by sharing feedback with commissioners and providers.
- Escalate concerns or issues to decision-makers such as the Health & Wellbeing Board or Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee (HOSC)
- Inform and prioritise future Healthwatch activity and projects
- Support Integrated Community Teams responses to local priorities
Who do we want to hear from?
We invite all residents and service providers in East Sussex to take part in our Listening Tour and help shape the future of local health and care services.
This may include patients, members of the public, as well as staff or volunteers working in voluntary and statutory services and organisations supporting people across the county.
What is involved?
We combine insight from our dedicated Listening Tour activities with what we hear on-the-ground, through projects, and in any feedback shared directly with us.
We also attend a range of in-person activities throughout the year across East Sussex to engage and hear from people, ensuring we reach people through non-digital means.

Sharing our insight
We collate the insight from our Listening Tour survey and workshops, as well as any received by Healthwatch through other means, to develop a report for each ICT footprint.
Each year we will also provide an annual Listening Tour report of the headlines captured from all our Listening Tour activity during the year.
