Healthwatch in Sussex want to hear from you! If you live in Sussex, we would like to find out what you know about, and your experiences of accessing or trying to access, weight loss injections.

Our recent activities used the feedback and experiences you shared with us to generate insight on local health and care issues. 

Healthwatch in Sussex delivered a project to learn about patient experiences of the Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service since the 1st April 2025 when the EMED group took over the delivery of the Sussex contract. Read our report and recommendations.

If you, or someone you know are over the age of 60, have health or care needs, young children, or rely on medical equipment - you could be eligible for extra support during a power or water outage.

NHS Sussex have recently launched a new series of short films featuring local healthcare professionals, created to help young people understand where to go for trusted health and wellbeing support.

The autumn of 2025 saw the NHS introduce ‘You and Your General Practice’ (YYGP), known by some as a GP Charter.

In 2025, Healthwatch East Sussex spoke to people in Rother about their experiences of health and care services in the area, including how easy they found it to access the right support for them, any particularly good or bad experiences they have had, and what factors they feel most effect their wellbeing.

Annually, Healthwatch East Sussex (HWES) volunteers and staff participate in Patient Led Assessments of the Care Environment (PLACE).

We have produced a summary that outlines what is involved in PLACE and the activity our volunteers and staff took part in during October and November 2025.

In January 2026, Healthwatch in Sussex sought experiences of people using pharmacy services, including Pharmacy First. This repeated a poll we previously ran in July 2024.
